SATPAK-ISA
The SATPAK-ISA is an
ISA carrier board that is designed to mate with either a Trimble SK2/SK8, Trimble
ACEII/ACEIII, Navman Jupiter, Canadian Marconi SuperstarII, Rockwell MicroTracker-LP,
Motorola M12, or Motorola GT/UT/VP ONCORE GPS receiver. The SATPAK-ISA communicates with the selected GPS receiver over the ISA bus
using a 16550 universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (UART). The SATPAK-ISA can be
selected for COM1, COM2, COM3, or COM4 base addresses. The associated ISA bus
communication interrupt can be selected from any interrupt available on the ISA bus. The
GPS receiver is protected with a reset table fuse that is thermally activated. A
keep-alive voltage is generated by using a large value (1 Farad)
capacitor to maintain the almanac, ephemeris, and real-time clock of the selected
receiver. A one pulse per second (1PPS) option allows the SATPAK-ISA to generate an ISA
bus interrupt from the 1PPS time pulse signal produced by the GPS receiver. The interrupt
can be used in timing applications or by various network protocols. A bracket
Single quantity development kit prices shown below include SATPAK-ISA integrated and
tested with desired GPS module, magnetic mount antenna with 4 meter cable, development
software toolkit for selected GPS module, and design reference manual in electronic format
for the selected GPS receiver. The development kit is a total GPS solution for the
PC/104 bus using the GPS receiver selected.
